BYO-wine to enjoy with dinner. One bottle per couple limit.
Theme: A culinary experience with a local chef and Wichita native with family ties to Cajun country.
Menu:
1st Course – Salad
Bright greens, crispy braised pork belly, sunflower seeds, parmesan cheese, and local mulberry vinaigrette
2nd course – Jambalaya
Seafood and andouille jambalaya topped with remoulade
3rd course – Gazpacho
Individual Gazpacho shots
4th course- Orange Duck Pasta
Fresh pappardelle pasta in an orange cream sauce, topped with sauteed mushrooms, Manchego cheese, and smoked duck breast
5th course – Dessert
Italian orange semolina cake with cardamom gelato

Chef Shane Yates Born and raised in the Wichita Metro, I basically grew up in restaurants. My grandmother owned and operated a cafe in Leon, with an apartment in the back of the building in which she lived. My mother helped open and run the cafe, and my sister and I spent our summers and some weekends there. My grandmother being from Louisianna, a lot of Cajun classics were served at the cafe, as well as most family gatherings. My father’s side of the family hails from the New York City area. So, between these two influences, food was always very important to my family, and we have fairly eclectic tastes. As a chef and avid outdoorsman, my food philosophy is fresh, locally sourced ingredients prepared well to highlight natural flavors. Food has always been like a love language to me, and this menu serves as a love letter to the family that brought me here, as well as the state of Kansas, my lifelong home.
