Planting season is on the way and bumper crops are a blessing, but also something to manage.  Join Chef Chadwick brief history of the art and science of food preservation and then hands on instruction.  You will learn to think like a chef with shopping and cooking strategies that will save you so much time and money. Topics include dehydration, heat canning, freezer canning, and more.  Get ready to take home the seasonal items you make, including jarred salsa, freezer ratatouille and dried fruit!

Feel free to enhance your workshop experience by bringing any beverages, alcoholic or not, to responsibly enjoy during your time with us.

Chef Chadwick - NICHE


Chef Chadwick

With over 35 years in the foodservice industry and education, Chef Chadwick’s experience is vast. Under the tutelage of Marcel Bonetti, C.E.C. Bass Pro Corporate Chef, Chadwick cut his chops and eventually won American Culinary Federation Chef of the Year award. Teaching came naturally and it led him to an extended time in multimedia creating local television cooking spots, live demos and workshops, radio shows, infomercials and contributing to national publications and cookbooks. In addition, he and his wife, Stephanie are avid farmers, growing various grains, vegetables and livestock. He joined WSU Tech, NICHE as full-time faculty in 2021.
